I östra Kanada är vintern alltid sträng; fjällugglorna flyttar söderut och många tillbringar vintrarna i jordbruksområden i Ontario. If you want to photograph Snowy Owls, it is recommended to visit Ontario in the winter. In eastern Canada, winter is always severe; the Snowy Owls migrate south and many spend the winters in agricultural areas in Ontario. Between the Snowy Owls there are good opportunities to photograph small birds in forested areas as well as snow buntings. The pictures were taken during a trip led by Brutus Östling from Fokus Fotoresor.

This large owl shows up irregularly in winter to hunt in windswept fields or dunes, a pale shape with catlike yellow eyes. They spend summers far north of the Arctic Circle.
